Acclaimed writer for children and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the firm said: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was made after an inquiry regarding reports of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at women.
The publisher did not confirm the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on internal matters."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, having sold over six tens of millions of copies internationally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
He has published in excess of 40 works altogether, encompassing a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
